In support of the devolution framework, the County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet is required to and has prepared this county integrated development plan in accordance to the County Government Act 2012.
The County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) is a development strategy document that is similar to the several development strategies adopted by the Government of Kenya since independence. The previous development strategy documents include; District Focus for Rural Development (DFRD) strategy and the Economic Recovery Strategy (ERS) strategy, while the current one is the Kenya Vision 2030 development blue-print.
